Weekend with grandpa and granma

Ilne's parent were in South Africa for business reasons, but we got to spend a weekend with them. The children loved it and it really was great to just get away.

Here are the children getting to play with their grandparents, something they don't often get to do.

This last picture was at the aquarium. The children enjoyed it so much they were literally jumping up and down:

Lastly, just my regular advertisment for South Africa.
I say no more.

Bad plan

This is why it is a bad plan to let your son sleep on your bed.
This is why it is a bad plan to put your make-up where little hands can reach.
This is why it is a bad plan to hold on too dearly to material things.

At least you can have most bad ideas, just once.

Zambia

If you receive our newsletter you will know that after much prayer, God has called us to a new place. Carl went to Zambia at the end of January to look around and also to look for land with the organization that we will work with. Here are just a few photo's, purely impressions. No country or it's people can ever be caught in a photo.

Please pray with us, since we really need God's guidance, wisdom and provision. We do not want to do this without Him going ahead and preparing the way for us. We do not want to do it just because it looks like a good idea, we want to let God's Will be done. For ourselves and also for the people in Zambia.

Rashelle turns 4

Good day ladies and gentleman. I turned 4 years on the 30th of January.

I received a gift from my parents:
My own Bible, so I can also read what Jesus says to me. OK, so maybe I still need to learn to read and not just pretend to.
Then Mommy and me baked cake, a cake I've been asking for for months:
But we did not eat the cake on my birthday, because Daddy was gone, so we waited.

Happy birthday Rashelle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love you.

Children

Here are some pictures that I think capture our kids well at this moment:
Rashelle is a happy little girl, full of life and emotions. A litlle sunray.

Tim is a real little boy, full of plans. But he is also two.

Simon is little mister eat it all. A calm little guy.

We love them all, and thank God daily for each of them.

Christmas 2012

I am so far behind on blogging that I think I am infront. It is not because I did not want to, but since I was not able to place photo's on the site, sorry. Looking at photo's are much more interesting than me telling you all our life details. So these blogs are catch up blogs, moments we have forgotten that will feel brand new to you. So let's start:
Firstly, here are some pictures of the children after christmas. We try to focus on the reason for celebrating Christmas, but also do give them something small, since Jesus gave us the biggest gift ever.
The last picture was actually after 'Sinterklaas'- the dutch festival where the children more traditionally get their gifts.
