Dutch children in South Africa

In case anybody was worried, Rashelle and Tim are raised with certain dutch tradisions, so that they do not forget their roots. There are the beautiful wooden shoes:
she asks to wear.

And then there is the fact that both my children are addicted to drop (liquirice that does not taste like liquirice at all). They must be dutch.

The pregnant lady

OK, so this is on request. Two excuses before I reveal the picture. One, it is summer and I am really feeling the heat, so excuse the expression. And two, it is a really big baby. The last two scans had my very straight faced gynaecologist frowning: this is a huge baby, he keeps saying. So, expect the worse, and you'll be happily surprised.
But we are thanking God that it also means that the baby is doing well- well fed. And I'm thankful that it will be a ceasarian. The thought of pushing this size baby out, has me thanking God for modern medicine.

Rashelle's friend turns 3

These two friends differ by 10 days, and they truly are like sisters. Fighting one moment, inseperable the next. The beauty is one speaks Afrikaans and the other english, yet they never seem to not understand one another. I'm not suppose to reveal the little girl's name, so excuse the secrecy. But she was beautiful on her birthday, she felt like a real princess.
So thankful for all her gifts.
